In other news, I just finished my book. Technically 10 books. I think it took me a grand total of 4 days, to read 1200 pages, of the large, paperback that should be a hardcover only then it'd be damned heavy and inconvenient to carry it around kind. As it is, it's just really heavy. I picked said big heavy book from the library because I wanted to read the third in the series, and they're a pain in the ass to find in good condition. So, I got the whole deal. Read the third one. Started on the fourth. Went back, read the first two, and then proceeded back to somewhere in the middle of the fourth.

If you make a habit of ignoring the little headers that seem to precede most peoples journal entries these days, then you should go back and read it. Then you should go pick up Nine Princes in Amber, by the late Roger Zelazny. Then watch as you get suckered into reading all 10 books, because he should have gone into the business of writing those dastardly 2 part season finales. Only this story has 10 parts(though you could stop halfway through, as there is some closure, but you know there's another 5 out there that are just as tantalizing.) If you feel like loosing a few days of your life to a wonderful cause, pick up the whole works all at once(and skip a few summarizations he slips in for people who read slowly and forget along the way. Unless you read slowly and forget along the way. Then feel free to forget the contents of the last few books you've read again.)

Can you tell I'm buzzed? Seriously buzzed. Qui doesn't need no drugs, books do the job just fine, thankyouverymuch! I wasn't even intending on going on a Zelazny rant, just a 'hello, I'm alive, and believe it or not I am actually doing something!'

Anyways.

I believe I already said hello, or if I didn't, it doesn't really matter because I've already rambled your ear off. I'm alive! And kicking, occasionally, though it takes a bit of time to recover between kicks. I've also got some slow moving projects on the go, including a rather macabre scene that Rena might recall me mentioning, my collection of heads. Ben is in there somewhere, you know.

The most amusing part, to me, is that I've gone through this series multiple times. At least 5, if not 6 or 7. I always get a nice buzz after finishing.. anything, in that series. A book, or the whole thing. This is just me really, really buzzed because I read 3 of them yesterday, one the day before, and two today. I've condensed it a bit(and my sleep has suffered as a result, because I'm supposed to read before I go to bed, as opposed to spending time here, sitting infront of my computer. Yeah. Doesn't help. Not as attention holding my ass. I start reading, then look up(after I finished. I don't think I looked up once while reading the last two books tonight) and went.. shit. I was supposed to be asleep.. 5 hours ago. Whoops.

Apparently, I can't shut up.

Which is why I came to rant here.

I came on to rant to Kayd, and then got distracted into ranting to myself and the world at large, ala DA. Oh well.
